The Elim Fellowship's
overall goal is to build a stronger, unified community. They are determined to penetrate and reshape the infrastructure
of the county, especially in the areas of education, health, and human services, housing and local government.
To commence this undertaking, The Elim Fellowship recently acquired the historical " Waters House" plantation.
This redeemed historical structure currently serves as the ministry house, in which, to provide immediate services
to the town of Princess Anne. The three year old vibrant and industrious, Elim Fellowship is a very youth-filed Christian
membership consisting largely of former college students of The University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The members are
local residents and are invested in change for their communities. The Elim Fellowship is moving foward in the implementation
of various community-based initiatives. Tutoring is provided to at-risk students. The responsibility for overseeing
a local recreation center in a perdominantly minority section of Princess Anne was granted to The Elim Fellowship, just this
past summer.
Pastors Ronald and Cheryl Hollis of The Elim Fellowship are a strong presence and voice in the community.
They represent a mighty force and competant leadership, which will be needed to accomplish these goals. They are excited
about future campaigns, with endeavors to fill vacant County Comissioner seats, as well as two seats currently available on
the county's board of education. The Elim Fellowship takes its name from the oasis found by the children of Israel during
their journey from Egypt: " Then they came to elim (the place of refreshing) where there were twelve springs and seventy
palm trees, and they camped there near the water" ( Exodus 15:27)
| Mission Statement |
|
Our mission is to assist in the Lord's end-time harvest by raising up and releasing a generation of priests in the revelation
and knowledge of the Glory of the Lord.
Passionate and consecrated believers whose hearts are ravished for Christ alone.
This is not a new mission in the faith indeed, but one that the present day church seems to have forgotten.
We believe we are to
call forth the true worshippers, who love not their life unto the death and who are fully equipped to defend the gospel of
Jesus Christ . . .truthfully, without taint or compromise, ideology or religious system.
As equipped and mature believers, we have one unified
purpose -- to declare the Kingdom of God in the hearts of men universally, and to awaken a "lukewarm" generation to the splendors
of the Lord.
